AACTMAD present the Dawn Dance - February 26-28

The Ann Arbor Council for Traditional Music and Dance will hold their Dawn Weekend February 26-28th at Clague Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Featured performers include:

The Groovemongers – Musicians C.W. Abbott, Jane Knoeck, Rebecca McCallum and Mark Hellenberg combine their musical skills to create a montage of traditional and contra music melding the classic sounds of mandolin, guitar, piano, accordion, drums and violin.

Bare Necesities- Musicians Earl Gaddis, Mary Lea, Peter Barnes and Jacqueline featuring viola, violins and flute with an emphasis on country dances of the 17th and 18th century.

Adina Gordon – A veteran contra dance and caller that hails from Brattleboro, Vermont and who considers one of her goals to teach and get you dancing on the spot.

Helene Cornelius – For forty years a dance leader of the CDS Boston Centre and renowned contributor and leader of the English country dance community.
