On
April 5th and 6th hundreds of dancers and drummers will converge at the
EMU Convocation Center for this monumental cultural event. The Dance
for Mother Earth Pow Wow is an annual Native American celebration held
in honor of the Earth Mother. Everyone is welcome to this grand event
where you can experience Native American culture, enjoy traditional
foods and shop at many wonderful Native American arts and crafts
vendors. This year's event is a collaboration between the UM Native
American Student Association and the EMU Native American Student
Organization.
Special guest Dr. Jessica Metcalfe, owner and creator of
Beyond Buckskin Boutique,
will be hosting a Native American designer fashion show on Saturday
April 5th at 3:30 pm. Dr. Metcalfe will also have merchandise available
for purchase at the event.
